LAND TURTLES

Land turtles (Geochelone Carbonaria) inhabit Palm since many years. They usually live in the hills and are hard to be seen. A turtle sanctuary had been set, few hundred yards out of the hotel area, where a dozen of them are fed every morning.
SEA TURTLES

They are an endangered species, and are actually protected.
Anyway, every year some turtles still come back to Palm Island beaches, to lay their eggs. Few hatchlings had been observed by guests last year just by the main hotel beach.

The baby turtles have been collected, sent to Bequia turtle sanctuary for one year and had been released from Palm island beaches, in order to come back laying years here in few years.
