LIZARDS

Ameiva ameiva or ground lizards are very common in Palm, and you will see them everywhere on the grass with their funny way to lift the tail when running to escape. Admire the vivid colors of the males, their fight for territory and mating. They are useful, for eating small ants and other insects
	Anolis aeneus or tree lizards are smaller, usually may reach 6 inches shedding (and then eating) their skin when they grow. Males have dewlaps, a kind of inflatable throat that they expend to threaten other males.
Hemidactylus mabouia or House Gecko inhabit the inside of houses. They may be seen at night, hunting insects, standing or running on vertical walls as easily than human on the ground.
