In the South of Caribbean, the Grenadines are an archipelago of eight inhabited islands plus a multitude of islets and rocks spread from St Vincent North, to Grenada South.

They lay on a shallow area (average 75 feet deep) 40 miles long on 10 miles wide in the continuity of the Caribbean arc.
Except the two Southernmost, Petit Martinique and Carriacou, they are all part of the state of St Vincent and the Grenadines,

capital Kingstown.
